A naturally beautiful venue for your big day

We are building a magnificent outdoor area for hosting weddings that is like no other, and the property is full of picturesque spots for wedding photos. When wedding festivities are not in progress, guests are welcome to enjoy fishing, nature walks, grilling, and many other activities in the beautiful Minnesotan outdoors. Eventually a lodge will also be available for indoor banquets and there will be enough lodging to host an entire weekend wedding!

Logistics

We would love to work with your wedding planner to help coordinate this important day. There are many details that go into the preparation, set up, and production of a wedding so things go just right. Please refer to our “Master Plan Report” to see what facilities are available and check our progress.

• Catering: You are welcome to hire outside catering for food and beverages since The Black Lantern Resort & Retreat does not provide that service.
• Music: There will be a spot for a band to set up and a dance to be held.
• Lodging: You can view our accommodations under lodging. Lodging options include RV hookups, cabins, and plenty of primitive camping sites in case the guests want to make a weekend out of the celebration.

An unforgettable wedding on the water

We are fine-tuning plans to offer a "wedding on the water," which involves having the wedding party anchor out in festive rowboats with the bride and groom centered on a decorated floating platform in the middle of our lake.
