June 9 & 10 Pumpkin Moon

Cross fingers for clear skies! A full moon this weekend will bring us out a night walk Saturday through the forest trails, no flashlights with a full moon, it is simply beautiful and can be educational for children and romantic for couples. We do not say a word about scariness or scary stories, we focus on getting past that and simply showing the beauty of night in the forest. All shades of Black and white and a river of stars above the sky, gorgeous. This weekend we will sow a pumpkin patch as well and will invite you to plant pumpkin seeds in the patch. If you book a cabin reservation in the Fall you may harvest any pumpkin you want.

Labor Day Weekend

Gnome Hunt &

Giant Potluck

Both Community & Resort Guest's Potluck. Held Saturday at 5pm. If the weather looks doomed on Saturday, we will notify everyone and do it on Sunday instead. A giant spread of food, last year was the biggest spread I have ever seen even compared to weddings. Our neighbors can really cook! You may bring whatever you would like and certainly do not have to bring anything at all except a good appetite. Two hours after the potluck we run a gnome hunt that anyone can join, it is $5 to enter and the person who finds the gnome gets all the money- which can be quite a bit. When you find the gnome on the property, it can be seen from any maintained area or trail, haul it back to the pavilion, ring the giant bell loudly to notify those in the woods that you found the gnome and claim your prize!
